Our Bedrooms:
The Caldew room
Our ensuite room is generously proportioned with a splendid carved mahogany wooden 5ft bed, a wardrobe, desk, bedside drawers and two armchairs complete the room. Dual aspect windows look out to the old coach house, with a heart carved in the stone above the arch, said to be linked to Robert the Bruce. The hills of Dumfriesshire can be seen across the Solway Plain to the West, and the Pennines can be seen across open parkland to the North. A tea tray is provided along with homemade cake or biscuits, and a bottle of filtered water. An iPod docking station and free WIFI is available, and a television is available if you wish – lots of our guests enjoy the novelty a TV free zone!
The ensuite bathroom has a magnificent marble tiled fireplace, generous bath and separate shower, a heated towel rail keeps the huge fluffy towels warm.
